Mount Meru: 4-Day Trek

An excellent acclimatization hike for Kilimanjaro or a stunning trek in its own right, Meru offers wildlife viewing and breathtaking views of the Crater.

Key Itinerary Highlights:

Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut (Walk with an armed ranger, crossing rivers).
Day 2: Miriakamba to Saddle Hut (Steep ascent, acclimatization hike to Little Meru).
Day 3:Summit Day! Wake up at midnight to climb Socialist Peak (4,565m), followed by descent to Miriakamba Hut.
Day 4: Final descent and vehicle transfer back to Arusha.

Note: Mount Meru has one primary, mandatory route (Momella). This itinerary reflects that standard 4-day trek.

Oldonyo Lengai: 3-Day Summit

Known as the "Mountain of God," this challenging trek leads to the crater of Tanzania's only active volcano, offering views over the Rift Valley and Lake Natron.

Key Itinerary Highlights:

Day 1: Drive to Lake Natron area, preparations for the climb.
Day 2 (Midnight Start): Begin the steep, rocky ascent to summit for sunrise.
Day 2 (Descent): Descend the loose scree before the heat sets in, transfer back to camp.
Day 3: Cultural interactions with Maasai or exploration of Lake Natron (Flamingos).

Note: Due to its active nature, Oldonyo Lengai has one highly specific, strenuous route (usually starting from the base near Lake Natron).
